SABIC M40053S HDPE Unimodal Resin
SABIC M40053S is a unimodal high density polyethylene (HDPE) resin with a very high melt flow rate, designed for high speed injection molding of large thin-walled parts.
Physical Properties
- Density: Measured by ASTM D1505, it is 0.953 g/cc. This density is fundamental for the material’s performance in injection – molding applications, influencing product quality and appearance.
- ESCR 100% Igepal®: Based on compression – molded sheet, tested by ASTM D1693B with F50, it’s 7.0 hours.
- ESCR 10% Igepal®: Tested by F50; ASTM D1693B, it’s 4.0 hours. This provides more data on its stress – crack resistance in different conditions, helping to optimize product design.
- Melt Flow: Measured by ASTM D1238, it has a melt flow of 4.0 g/10 min at 2.16 kg and 190 °C (4.0 g/10 min at 4.76 lb and 374 °F).
