Chevron Phillips Marlex 7109M LLDPE Resin
Chevron Phillips Marlex® 7109M is a linear low-density polyethylene (LLDPE) resin produced by Chevron Phillips Chemical.
Physical Properties
- Density: Tested per ASTM D1505, the material’s density is 0.918 g/cc (0.0332 lb/in³), aligning with standard thermoplastic measurements.
- Thickness: At 31.8 microns (1.25 mil), the dimension suits applications requiring balanced flexibility and durability in thin-film production.
- Melt Flow: As specified in ASTM D1238E, the melt flow rate is 0.90 g/10 min at 190 °C under a 2.16 kg load, indicating processability for extrusion or molding.
- Antiblock Level: With 6500 ppm of antiblock agents, the formulation prevents film adhesion, enhancing usability in packaging and industrial rolls.
- Slip Level: The 1600 ppm slip additive content reduces surface friction, optimizing material flow during manufacturing and end-use performance.
Polymer Properties:
- Base Material: Linear Low – Density Polyethylene (LLDPE)
- Key Features:
- Optimized molecular chain structure for blown film applications, enhancing toughness and processability balance.
