Dow DOWLEX™ 2045.11G LLDPE Resin

Dow DOWLEX 2045.11G is an LLDPE resin made by Dow, crafted for high – speed, thin – film uses with enhanced thermal stability.

Physical Properties

  • Density: Measured per ASTM D792, the material’s density is 0.922 g/cc (0.0333 lb/in³), indicating a standard weight-to-volume ratio.
  • Thickness: At 20.3 microns (0.800 mil), the dimension is precise for applications requiring thin-film or sheet consistency.
  • Melt Flow: As specified by ASTM D1238, the melt flow rate is 1.0 g/10 min, reflecting processability under standard testing conditions.
  • Antiblock Level: With 3000 ppm of antiblock additives, the material prevents film sticking and improves handling during manufacturing.
  • Slip Level: The formulation includes 1200 ppm of slip agents, reducing surface friction to enhance packaging efficiency and product release.

Polymer Properties:

  • Base Material: Ethylene – based copolymer (LLDPE)
  • Modification Features:
    • Engineered by Dow to have additional thermal stability, ensuring smooth processing in high – speed thin – film production.
    • Complies with U.S. FDA 21 CFR 177.1520 (c) 3.2a, a standard set for DOWLEX™ 2045.11G to be used in food – contact applications.

Applications:

  • Food Packaging: For high – speed packaging of snacks and fresh produce, extending shelf life and maintaining product quality.
  • Consumer Goods Packaging: Used to package small electronics and personal care items, providing a thin and reliable protective layer.
  • Industrial Packaging: Applies to wrap delicate industrial components, safeguarding them during transit and storage.
