SABIC HP2023NN LDPE Resin

SABIC HP2023NN is a low-density polyethylene (LDPE) homopolymer resin engineered specifically for blown film extrusion.

Physical Properties

  • Density: Measured by ASTM D1505 for injection-molded samples, the density is 0.923 g/cc (0.0333 lb/in³), identical to HP2023JN but without slip/antiblock additives.
  • Melt Flow: Under ASTM D1238 standards, the melt flow rate is 2.0 g/10 min at 190°C/2.16 kg, suitable for additive-free film applications.

  • Base Material: Low-Density Polyethylene (LDPE)
  • Key Features:
    • High – melt strength for blown – film processes.
    • UV resistance for outdoor – exposed applications.
    • Good adhesion to some substrates.

  • Co-extrusion Films: The consistent processability and film properties make it a suitable component in multi-layer co-extrusion films where layers with different properties are required.
  • Protective and Shrink Films: Its good mechanical properties and processability also make it a viable option for certain protective and shrink film applications.
