COVESTRO BAYBLEND® FR1514
Premium PC/ABS Flame-Retardant Material
BAYBLEND® FR1514 is a flame-retardant, amorphous thermoplastic blend of polycarbonate (PC) and acrylonitrile butadiene styrene (ABS). This material is engineered to provide an excellent balance of properties, combining the high impact strength, heat resistance, and dimensional stability of polycarbonate with the superior processability and toughness of ABS.

Processing Guidelines

Drying
Due to the polycarbonate component, BAYBLEND® FR1514 must be dried before processing to prevent hydrolysis, which can lead to part degradation and poor mechanical properties.
Molding Conditions
