COVESTRO BAYBLEND T65 HI PC/ABS Resin
Covestro Bayblend T65 HI is a highly versatile and robust thermoplastic blend, combining the key properties of polycarbonate (PC) and acrylonitrile butadiene styrene (ABS).
Physical Properties
- Density: Measured in accordance with ISO 1183-1 using injection-molded samples, the density is 1.11 g/cc (0.0401 lb/in³).
- Moisture Absorption at Equilibrium: Per ISO 62, 0.20% at 50% RH, showing low water uptake for stable performance in normal conditions.
- Water Absorption at Saturation: Per ISO 62, 0.70% when fully saturated, indicating moderate retention for non-submerged applications.
- Viscosity: At a shear rate of 1000 1/s and temperature of 260 °C (500 °F), the melt viscosity is 300,000 cP (b.o. ISO 11443-A).
- Linear Mold Shrinkage: Per ISO 2577, linear shrinkage (flow/transverse) for 150×105×3 mm plaques is 0.0065–0.0085 cm/cm at 3mm thickness.
- Melt Flow: As per ISO 1133 standards, at a temperature of 260 °C (500 °F) under a load of 5.00 kg (11.0 lb), the melt flow rate is 5.55 g/10 min.
