COVESTRO BAYBLEND T88 GF-20 PC/ABS Resin

Covestro Bayblend T88 GF-20 is a high-performance, heat-stabilized PC/ABS blend from Covestro, reinforced with 20% glass fiber.

Physical Properties

  • Density: Measured using injection-molded samples in accordance with ISO 1183, the density is 1.29 g/cc (0.0466 lb/in³) with 20% glass fiber filler.
  • Moisture Absorption at Equilibrium: Determined by ISO 62, the moisture absorption at equilibrium is 0.20%.
  • Water absorption at saturation:Determined by ISO 62,he water absorption at saturation is 0.40%.
  • Viscosity: At 260°C and a shear rate of 1000 1/s, the melt viscosity is 205,000 cP (ISO 11443-A).
  • Linear Mold Shrinkage: For 50x105x3 mm injection-molded plaques at 260°C/mold temperature 80°C, the linear mold shrinkage is 0.0020–0.0040 cm/cm (flow) and 0.0030–0.0050 cm/cm (transverse) as per ISO 2577.
  • Melt Flow: As per ISO 1133, at 260°C under a load of 5.00 kg, the melt flow rate is 18.06 g/10 min.

  • Reinforcement: 20% Glass Fiber
