COVESTRO BAYBLEND FR3305 TV PC/ABS Resin

Covestro Bayblend FR3305 TV is a 10% glass fiber reinforced, flame retardant PC ABS blend by Covestro.

Physical Properties

  • Density: Measured using injection-molded samples in accordance with ISO 1183-1, the density is 1.28 g/cc (0.0462 lb/in³).
  • Moisture Absorption at Equilibrium: Determined according to ISO 62, the moisture absorption at equilibrium is 0.10 %.
  • Water Absorption at Saturation: Tested for saturated samples per ISO 62, the water absorption at saturation is 0.40 %.
  • Viscosity: At a frequency of 1000 Hz and temperature of 260°C, the melt viscosity is 185000 cP, as per ISO 11443-A.
  • Linear Mold Shrinkage, Flow/Transverse: For a 150x105x3 mm sample at 260°C/80°C per ISO 2577, the linear mold shrinkage in flow and transverse directions is 0.0030–0.0050 cm/cm.
  • Melt Flow: As per ISO 1133, at a temperature of 240°C under a load of 5.00 kg, the melt flow rate is 20.48 g/10 min.

Polymer Properties:

  • Base Material: PC ABS blend
  • Reinforcement: 10% glass fiber
  • Modification Features:
    • 10% glass fiber reinforcement for enhanced rigidity and strength.
    • Flame retardant with UL 94 V-0 at 1.2 mm and V-1 at 1.0 mm.
    • Vicat/B 120 temperature of 103 °C for moderate heat applications.
