Envalior Durethan AKV 35 H3.0 PA66 Resin
Envalior Durethan AKV 35 H3.0 is a 35% glass-reinforced, heat-aging-stabilized PA66 for heavy-duty automotive, industrial, and oil & gas applications.
Physical Properties
- Density: Per ISO 1183, density is 1.41 g/cc (0.0509 lb/in³), with 35% glass fibers for enhanced stiffness in high-temperature applications.
- Moisture Absorption at Equilibrium: At 50% RH per ISO 62, moisture absorption is 1.8 %, decreasing with higher fiber content.
- Water Absorption at Saturation: Per ISO 62, water absorption is 5.0 %, a moderate level suitable for structural components.
- Linear Mold Shrinkage (Flow): At 300°C/80°C per ISO 294-4, flow shrinkage is 0.0037 cm/cm (0.0037 in/in), the lowest yet for mid-range fiber loading.
- Linear Mold Shrinkage (Transverse): At 300°C/80°C per ISO 294-4, transverse shrinkage is 0.0106 cm/cm (0.0106 in/in), balanced between fiber and polymer effects.
Polymer Properties:
- Base Material: Polyamide 66 (PA66)
- Reinforcement: 35% Glass Fiber
- Modification Features:
- 35% glass fiber for superior rigidity and load capacity.
- Heat-stabilized for long-term thermal performance.
- Low moisture absorption for dimensional stability.
Applications:
The high glass fiber reinforcement and advanced heat stabilization make Durethan AKV35H3.0 a top choice for highly demanding structural parts that must withstand mechanical stress and high temperatures.
Its primary applications are in:
- Automotive: The material’s high strength and heat resistance make it perfect for under-the-hood components such as engine mounts, intake manifolds, and various structural supports.
- Industrial Engineering: it is used for machine parts like bearing cages, high-load gears, and structural components in pumps and compressors.
- Electrical and Electronics: While not flame-retardant like F30, its excellent mechanical and thermal properties are valuable for rugged housings and structural components.
- Appliance Industry: Provides excellent performance and long-lasting service life for home appliance parts subject to thermal and mechanical strain, such as those in dishwashers and washing machines.
