DuPont Zytel 79G13L is a 13% glass fiber reinforced, toughened polyamide 66 (PA66) providing enhanced rigidity and impact resistance for structural components.
Physical Properties
- Density: Tested via DAM and ISO 1183 for 13% glass-reinforced PA66; density is 1.21 g/cc (0.0437 lb/in³).
- Melt Density: At ≥263 °C (505 °F), melt density is 1.03 g/cc (0.0372 lb/in³), appropriate for glass-reinforced processing.
- Water Absorption: At 2.00 mm (0.0787 in) thickness, water absorption is 6.5%, per DAM and ISO 62 for reinforced materials.
- Moisture Absorption: For 2.00 mm (0.0787 in) samples, moisture absorption is 2.20%, following DAM and ISO 62 standards.
- Linear Mold Shrinkage, Flow: Flow direction shrinkage is 0.0040 cm/cm (0.0040 in/in) per DAM and ISO 294-4, 2577.
- Linear Mold Shrinkage, Transverse: Transverse shrinkage is 0.0080 cm/cm (0.0080 in/in), determined for glass-reinforced components.
