DUPONT ZYTEL 7335F Hot Sale PA6 Resin

DuPont Zytel 7335F is an unreinforced, nucleated polyamide 6 (PA6) polymer produced by DuPont (now part of Celanese).

Physical Properties

  • Density: Measured via DAM and ISO 1183 for injection-molded samples, the density is 1.13 g/cc (0.0408 lb/in³).
  • Water Absorption: Tested at 2.00 mm thickness per DAM and similar to ISO 62, the water absorption is 9.0%.
  • Moisture Absorption: Evaluated at 2.00 mm thickness following DAM procedures, the moisture absorption is 3.00%.
  • Viscosity Number: Determined by DAM and ISO 307/1157/1628, the viscosity number is 150 cm³/g (1.50 dl/g).
  • Linear Mold Shrinkage: For injection-molded plaques, the flow shrinkage is 0.0060 cm/cm (0.0060 in/in) and transverse shrinkage is 0.0080 cm/cm (0.0080 in/in) per DAM and ISO 294-4/2577.

Polymer Properties:

  • Base Material: Polyamide 6 (PA6)
  • Modification Features:
    • Nucleated
    • Improves crystallinity and processing efficiency

Applications:

These applications align with Zytel® 7335F’s properties, suitable for injection molding or potential 3D printing:

  1. Cable Ties:
    • Product: Standard cable ties for household or light industrial use.
    • Why Suitable: Moderate toughness (notched Charpy ~5–10 kJ/m²) and elongation (~20–50%) enable flexible, durable ties for light-duty applications. Lubrication ensures smooth surfaces for user handling. Chemical resistance suits exposure to oils or cleaners.
    • Processing: Injection molding for mass production; 3D printing feasible for custom or low-volume ties with industrial printers.
  2. Automotive Interior Parts:
    • Product: Non-structural clips, fasteners, or decorative trim inserts for dashboards or door panels.
    • Why Suitable: Moderate strength (~70–80 MPa) and good surface finish (due to lubrication) support aesthetic and functional requirements in low-stress interior components. Thermal stability (HDT ~80–90°C) suits passenger compartment conditions.
    • Processing: Injection molding; 3D printing viable for prototyping custom clips or inserts.
  3. Caps and Closures:
    • Product: Screw caps for cosmetic or household product containers (e.g., shampoo bottles).
    • Why Suitable: Excellent surface finish and moderate strength ensure aesthetic, functional caps. Chemical resistance suits exposure to personal care products or cleaners.
    • Processing: Injection molding for high-volume production; 3D printing possible for custom cap prototypes.
  4. Electrical Connectors:
    • Product: Low-voltage connector housings for consumer electronics or automotive sensors.
    • Why Suitable: Good insulation (UL Yellow Card E41938) and moderate toughness prevent cracking during mating/unmating. Nucleation ensures dimensional precision for tight tolerances.
    • Processing: Injection molding; 3D printing feasible for prototyping small-batch connectors.
  5. Power Tool Casings:
    • Product: Non-structural grips or covers for cordless drills or sanders.
    • Why Suitable: Moderate toughness and excellent surface finish provide ergonomic, aesthetic casings. Lubrication supports smooth, user-friendly surfaces. Suitable for low-stress components.
    • Processing: Injection molding; 3D printing viable for custom grip prototypes.
