Ineos ABSOLAC 140 ABS Resin
INEOS ABSOLAC 140 is a high impact grade ABS polymer with good flow, produced by INEOS Styrolution.
Physical Properties
- Melt Flow: As per ISO 1133 standards, at a temperature of 220°C (428°F) under a load of 10.0 kg (22.0 lb), the melt flow rate is ≥26 g/10 min.
Polymer Properties:
- Base Material: Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene (ABS)
- Modification Features:
- High impact resistance combined with good flow for efficient, high-volume production.
- Balanced mechanical properties for versatile use in industrial and consumer applications.
- Suitable for thin-walled parts requiring both impact resistance and moldability.
Applications:
Due to its blend of high impact resistance, good heat resistance, and excellent processability, ABSOLAC® 140 is widely used in applications where durability and aesthetic quality are both critical.
- Automotive Exterior and Interior Parts:
- The material’s high impact strength and resistance to moderate heat make it suitable for parts that are exposed to sunlight or minor collisions.
- This includes radiator grilles, light housings, spoilers, and various automotive interior components like instrument panels and air vents.
- Electronic Device Housings:
- The good flowability of ABSOLAC® 140 allows for the molding of complex and thin-walled casings for electronic devices.
- Its impact strength provides essential protection for the internal components of items such as telephone housings, remote controls, and electronic enclosures.
- Household Appliances:
- The combination of durability and a good surface finish makes this grade a preferred choice for the housings of various home appliances.
- Its resistance to impact is beneficial for parts like washing machine parts and juicer housings that might be subjected to regular wear and tear.
