Celanese Celcon M270 HOT Sale POM Resin

Celanese Celcon M270 is a high-flow acetal copolymer (POM) designed for superior moldability in complex, multi-cavity, or hard-to-fill mold applications.

Physical Properties

  • Specific Gravity: Determined by ASTM D792, the specific gravity is 1.41 g/cc (consistent in metric and English units).
  • Density: As per ISO 1183, the density measures 1.41 g/cc (0.0509 lb/in³), reflecting the material’s mass per unit volume.
  • Density of Compound: The compound density is 1.20 g/cc (0.0434 lb/in³), indicating a lower density compared to the base material.
  • Moisture Absorption: At 23°C/50%RH per ISO 62, moisture absorption is 0.200%, showing low sensitivity to ambient humidity.
  • Water Absorption at Saturation: Following ISO 62, the saturation water absorption is 0.75%, indicating the material’s maximum moisture uptake.
  • Linear Mold Shrinkage, Flow: Per ISO 294-4, flow-direction shrinkage is 0.017 cm/cm (0.017 in/in); ASTM D955 reports 0.022 cm/cm (0.022 in/in).
  • Linear Mold Shrinkage, Transverse: ISO 294-4 specifies transverse shrinkage at 0.016 cm/cm (0.016 in/in), while ASTM D955 measures 0.018 cm/cm (0.018 in/in).
  • Melt Flow: At 190°C under a 2.16 kg (4.76 lb) load per ISO 1133, the melt flow rate is 23 g/10 min (volumetric: 23 cm³/10min).

Polymer Properties:

  • Base Material: Polyoxymethylene (POM)
  • Modification Features
    • Lower molecular weight for enhanced flowability, enabling better mold filling.
    • High – flow characteristic ideal for multi – cavity and complex mold setups.
    • Superior moldability helps in creating detailed and intricate parts.
