BASF ULTRAMID A3WG3 is a 15% short glass fiber reinforced polyamide 66 (PA66) polymer produced by BASF (BASF SE).

Physical Properties

  • Density: Measured in accordance with ISO 1183, the density is 1.23 g/cc (0.0444 lb/in³).
  • Moisture Absorption at Equilibrium: At 23°C and 50% relative humidity as per ISO 62, it ranges from 1.9 – 2.5 %.
  • Water Absorption at Saturation: Based on ISO 62, it ranges from 6.7 – 7.3 %.
  • Viscosity Measurement: Measured according to ISO 307, the value is 145.
  • Linear Mold Shrinkage: The value is 0.0075 cm/cm (0.0075 in/in), with the measurement method restricted.
  • Melt Flow: As per ISO 1133, at a load of 5.00 kg (11.0 lb) and a temperature of 275 °C (527 °F), it is 73.8 g/10 min.
