BASF ULTRAMID A3HG7 HOT Sale PA66 Resin

BASF ULTRAMID A3HG7 PA66 is a premium, 35% glass fiber reinforced polyamide 66 (PA66) injection molding grade.

Physical Properties

  • Density: As per ISO 1183, it is 1.41 g/cc (0.0509 lb/in³), indicating the mass per unit volume of the material.
  • Water Absorption: According to ISO 62, it ranges from 4.7 – 5.3%, showing the material’s capacity to absorb water.
  • Moisture Absorption at Equilibrium: At 23°C and 50% R.H. per ISO 62, it’s 1.4 – 1.8%, reflecting moisture – holding ability.
  • Viscosity Number: Based on ISO 307, it is 140 cm³/g (1.40 dl/g), related to the material’s resistance to flow in solution.
  • Linear Mold Shrinkage: Measured at 0.0050 cm/cm (0.0050 in/in), important for controlling dimensions during molding.
  • Melt Flow: Per ISO 1133, at 275 °C (527 °F) under 5.00 kg (11.0 lb) load, it’s 56.4 g/10 min, showing melt fluidity for processing.

Polymer Properties:

  1. Base Material: Polyamide 66 (PA66)
  2. Reinforcement: 35% Short Glass Fiber
  3. Modification Features:
    • High rigidity and mechanical strength from glass fiber addition.
    • Good heat resistance, suitable for high – temperature applications.
    • Dimensional stability for precise part manufacturing.
    • Some impact resistance.

Applications:

ULTRAMID A3HG7 PA66 is particularly well-suited for high-stress applications where both high strength and thermal resistance are essential.

  • Automotive Industry: Its ability to withstand high heat, coolants, and oils makes it ideal for under-the-hood components.Engine covers, intake manifolds, solenoid valve housings, radiator end tanks, and cylinder head covers.
  • Electrical & Electronics: For components that require high mechanical strength, dimensional stability, and good electrical insulation in hot environments.Electrical connectors, switchgear housings, and other electrical insulating parts.
  • Industrial and Mechanical Engineering: For parts that are subjected to high loads, heat, and wear.Precision gears, bearing housings, cable attachments, and other machinery components that demand high stiffness and strength.
