SABIC M500026 HOT Sale LLDPE Resin
SABIC M500026 is a flexible low-density polyethylene (LLDPE) resin produced by SABIC, known for its excellent stiffness and toughness.
Physical Properties
- Density: The density is 0.926 g/cc (0.0335 lb/in³). The test specimens are prepared from compression moulded sheet made according to ASTM D 1928 Procedure C., and it is measured according to ASTM D1505.
- ESCR 100% Igepal®: The ESCR 100% Igepal® is 6.0 hour, with F50 based on compression molded sheet, and it is measured according to ASTM D1693B.
- ESCR 10% Igepal®: The ESCR 10% Igepal® is 3.0 hour, with F50 based on compression molded sheet, and it is measured according to ASTM D1693B.
- Melt Flow: The melt flow is 50 g/10 min at a load of 2.16 kg and a temperature of 190°C (equivalent to 50 g/10 min at a load of 4.76 lb and a temperature of 374°F), and it is measured according to ASTM D1238.
Polymer Properties:
- Base Material: Linear Low – Density Polyethylene (LLDPE)
- Key Features & Characteristics:
- High Stiffness and Toughness: Offers a superior combination of rigidity and impact strength, allowing for down-gauging in film applications without compromising performance.
- Good Puncture and Tear Resistance: Ensures the integrity of packaging, protecting contents from damage.
- Excellent Processability: Optimized for high-speed blown film extrusion lines, enabling stable production and high output.
- Low Gel Count: Results in a smooth, high-quality film with good optical properties.
Applications:
SABIC M500026’s balance of stiffness and toughness, combined with its high melt flow rate, makes it particularly suitable for:
- Shopping Bags and T-shirt Bags: The higher stiffness allows for thinner gauge films that still maintain a crisp feel and handle heavy loads.
- Multilayer Films: Can be used as a blending component in film structures to increase rigidity and reduce thickness, leading to material savings.
- General-Purpose Films: Ideal for a wide range of packaging films where a balance of strength and down-gauging potential is desired.
- Casting and Extrusion Coating: The higher Melt Flow Rate (MFR) of 5.0 g/10 min makes it a strong candidate for cast film applications and as a coating layer on other substrates for improved sealing properties.
Processing Guidelines
SABIC M500026 is optimized for both blown film and cast film extrusion. The higher MFR provides excellent flow, which is beneficial for high-speed production.
- Recommended Melt Temperature: 190°C – 230°C
- Blow-up Ratio (BUR): 2.0 – 4.0
- Film Thickness Range: 10 µm to 100 µm
