Idemitsu Kosan TARFLON 1700 Hot Sale PC Resin

TARFLON™ 1700, produced by Idemitsu Kosan, is an ultra-high flow polycarbonate (PC) grade renowned for its exceptional properties.

Physical Properties

  • Density: Determined by ISO 1183 (JIS K7112), density is 1.20 g/cc (0.0434 lb/in³), a standardized mass-to-volume measurement.
  • Moisture Absorption: At 50% RH per ISO 62 (JIS K7209), moisture absorption is 0.230% after 24 hours (86400 sec), indicating humidity resistance.
  • Linear Mold Shrinkage:For 2.00 mm (0.0787 in) thickness via Idemitsu Method, flow and transverse shrinkage range 0.0050–0.0070 cm/cm (in/in), impacting molded part dimensions and design.
  • Melt Flow: Per ISO 1133 (JIS K7210), melt flow rate is 32.4 g/10 min at 300°C (572°F) under 1.20 kg (2.65 lb) load, reflecting high processability.
  • Spiral Flow: At 2.00 mm (0.0787 in) thickness via Idemitsu Method, spiral flow length is 25.0 cm (9.84 in) under 125 MPa pressure, indicating melt fluidity.

Polymer Properties:

  • Base Material: Polycarbonate (PC)
  • Modification Features:
    • High impact resistance, withstanding significant impacts without cracking.
    • Good transparency, providing excellent optical clarity.
    • Good heat resistance, maintaining performance in elevated temperature environments.
