SABIC LEXAN FR 3412ECR Hot Sale PC Resin
SABIC LEXAN FR 3412ECR is a 20% glass fiber reinforced polycarbonate (PC) polymer produced by SABIC (Saudi Basic Industries Corporation).
Physical Properties
- Specific Gravity: Measured per ASTM D792, the specific gravity is 1.30 g/cc, a dimensionless value relative to water density.
- Density: Determined by ISO 1183, the density is 1.36 g/cc (0.0491 lb/in³), specifying the material’s mass-to-volume ratio.
- Water Absorption: At 23°C under saturated conditions (ISO 62), water absorption is 0.29%, indicating moisture resistance in wet environments.
- Moisture Absorption: At 23°C / 50% RH per ISO 62, equilibrium moisture absorption is 0.120%, showing stability in moderate humidity.
- Linear Mold Shrinkage :As per SABIC’s internal test method for 3.20 mm (0.126 in) thickness, both flow and transverse shrinkage range from 0.0020–0.0050 cm/cm (in/in).
- Melt Flow: At 300°C (572°F) under 1.20 kg (2.65 lb) load, the melt flow rate is 7.0 g/10 min per ASTM D1238 (or cm³/10 min per ISO 1133), indicating suitable processability for molding.
