INEOS Styrolution 1050 Hot Sale GPPS Resin
INEOS Styrolution 1050 is a high-heat-resistant, transparent General Purpose Polystyrene (GPPS) designed for both extrusion and injection molding applications.
Physical Properties
- Density: As specified in ISO 1183, the material has a density of 1.04 g/cm³, which measures its mass per unit volume under standard testing conditions.
- Shrinkage: According to ISO 294, the shrinkage ranges from 0.4 to 0.7%, indicating the dimensional change that occurs during the material’s processing or cooling.
- Water Absorption (23°C Saturation): Under ISO 62, water absorption is 0.04%, showing very low moisture uptake when fully saturated.
- Melt Index: Per ISO 1133, the melt index is 2.8 g/10min, reflecting the material’s flowability when heated to 200°C under a 5 kg load during processing.
- Bulk Density (With External Lubricant): Measured by an internal method, bulk density is 0.6 g/cm³, indicating packed material density with lubricant.
Polymer Properties:
- Base Material: General Purpose Polystyrene (GPPS)
- Modification Features:
- Crystalline structure for enhanced performance.
- High heat resistance for use in elevated – temperature scenarios.
Applications:
- Appliance Components: Used for fridge drawers, its heat resistance withstands internal temperature variations, while the crystalline structure ensures long-term shape stability.
- Lighting Industry: Applied in diffusion plates, benefiting from its ability to maintain optical properties even when exposed to heat generated by lighting sources.
- Industrial Manufacturing: Employed in high – temperature applications such as parts near industrial ovens or furnaces, thanks to its heat – resistant nature.
- Extrusion Processes: Suitable for sheet extrusion applications, enabling the production of flat materials with consistent quality due to its crystalline structure.
- Molding Applications: Ideal for foam extrusion molding and injection molding, as it can be shaped into various forms while retaining its beneficial properties.
