DUPONT DELRIN 100ST POM Resin
DUPONT Delrin 100ST is a super – toughened, high – viscosity polyoxymethylene (POM) homopolymer by DuPont.
Physical Properties
- Density: Measured per ISO 1183, the material’s density is 1.34 g/cc (0.0484 lb/in³), specifying mass per unit volume for basic characterization.
- Melt Density: At 205°C (401°F), melt density is 1.14 g/cc (0.0412 lb/in³), reflecting mass-volume properties in fluid state.
- Water Absorption: At 2.00 mm thickness (sim. ISO 62), water absorption is 0.90%, indicating moderate moisture retention under immersion.
- Moisture Absorption: At 2.00 mm thickness (sim. ISO 62), moisture absorption is 0.350%, showing lower uptake than water immersion.
- Linear Mold Shrinkage, Flow: By ISO 294-4/2577, flow-direction shrinkage is 0.0080 cm/cm (0.0080 in/in), critical for dimensional accuracy in molding.
- Linear Mold Shrinkage, Transverse: Per ISO 294-4/2577, transverse shrinkage is 0.011 cm/cm (0.011 in/in), highlighting directional contraction differences.
- Melt Flow: Volumetric rate is 1.7 cm³/10min; mass rate is 2.0 g/10min under 2.16 kg/190°C (ISO 1133), indicating lower processability for injection molding.
