BASF Ultraform S2320 Aqua AT POM Resin

BASF Ultraform S2320 Aqua AT POM is a free – flowing, food – and water – safe POM ideal for drink water, food, and kitchen appliance applications.

Physical Properties

  • Density: By ISO 1183, it’s 1.41 g/cc (0.0509 lb/in³). This affects product weight, crucial for food & drink parts.
  • Water Absorption: At 50% RH, equilibrium is 0.20% (ISO 62); saturation is 0.90%. Impacts performance in wet conditions.
  • Maximum Moisture Content: Set at 0.15. Ensures material quality, prevents issues in processing and use.
  • Linear Mold Shrinkage, Flow & Transverse: Both are 0.021 cm/cm (0.021 in/in) per ISO 294 – 4. Needed for accurate mold design.
  • Melt Flow: At 190 °C (374 °F), 2.16 kg (4.76 lb) load, it’s 11 g/10 min (ISO 1133). Affects injection – molding efficiency.
