SABIC P6006 HDPE Multimodal Resin
SABIC P6006 is a high-density polyethylene (HDPE) resin with a multimodal molecular weight distribution, specifically designed for pipe extrusion.
Physical Properties
- Density: Measured using the ASTM D1505 standard, the density is 0.959 g/cc (0.0346 lb/in³), making it suitable for pressure – pipe applications.
- Oxidative Induction Time (OIT): Based on the EN 728 testing method, at 210 °C (410 °F), its OIT is at least 20 minutes, ensuring long – term stability.
- Carbon Black Loading: According to the ISO 6964 standard, the carbon black loading is 2.25%, which affects its appearance and performance.
- Melt Flow: Per the ISO 1133 standard, at 190 °C (374 °F), the melt flow rate is 0.23 g/10 min under a 5.00 kg (11.0 lb) load and 6.2 g/10 min under a 21.6 kg (47.6 lb) load.
