SABIC P6006AD HDPE Multimodal Resin
SABIC P6006AD is a black compound multimodal HDPE , designed for pressure pipe applications with exceptional processing performance.
Physical Properties
- Density: Tested following the ASTM D1505 standard, the density is 0.959 g/cc (0.0346 lb/in³). It is important for pressure pipe applications to withstand pressures.
- Oxidative Induction Time (OIT): Based on the EN 728 standard, at 210 °C (410 °F), the OIT is at least 30 minutes. A long OIT ensures long – term stability for pressure pipes.
- Carbon Black Loading: Measured by the ISO 6964 standard, the carbon black loading is 2.25%. It provides UV protection and enhances material properties for underground pipes.
- Melt Flow: According to the ISO 1133 standard, at 190 °C (374 °F), it’s 0.23 g/10 min under a 5.00 kg load and 6.4 g/10 min under a 21.6 kg load. These values optimize the extrusion process for pressure pipes.
