  • Water Absorption: At 2.00 mm thickness (sim. ISO 62), water absorption is 0.90%, indicating moderate moisture retention under immersion.
  • Moisture Absorption: At 2.00 mm thickness (sim. ISO 62), moisture absorption is 0.350%, showing lower uptake than water immersion.
  • Linear Mold Shrinkage, Flow: By ISO 294-4/2577, flow-direction shrinkage is 0.0080 cm/cm (0.0080 in/in), critical for dimensional accuracy in molding.
  • Linear Mold Shrinkage, Transverse: Per ISO 294-4/2577, transverse shrinkage is 0.011 cm/cm (0.011 in/in), highlighting directional contraction differences.

Processing Guidelines

Delrin 100ST is optimized for both injection molding and extrusion. Proper drying is crucial to ensure optimal processing and part quality.

  • Drying: While not always required, pre-drying at 80°C for 2-4 hours is recommended, especially for long-term storage or high humidity conditions.
  • Melt Temperature: 190-210°C
  • Mold Temperature: 80-100°C
