Physical Properties

  • Specific Gravity: Per ASTM D792, the specific gravity is 1.20 g/cc, with results of two test entries under the same standard being consistent.
  • Density: As specified by ASTM D792, the density is 1.19 g/cc (0.0430 lb/in³), determined using the standard testing methodology for accuracy.
  • Water Absorption: After 24 hours of testing per ASTM D570, water absorption is 0.15% (0.15%), reflecting the material’s moisture uptake under immersion conditions.
  • Moisture Absorption at Equilibrium: Per ASTM D570, moisture absorption is 0.35% at equilibrium and increases to 0.58% at 100 °C (212 °F).
  • Linear Mold Shrinkage, Flow: Using the SABIC method for a 3.20 mm (0.126 in) thickness, the linear mold shrinkage (flow direction) of molded components is 0.0050–0.0070 cm/cm (0.0050–0.0070 in/in).
  • Melt Flow: Per ASTM D1238, the melt flow rate is 7.0 g/10 min under a 1.20 kg (2.65 lb) load at 300 °C (572 °F), indicating the material’s melt processability.
