SABIC 118NJ HOT Sale LLDPE Resin

SABIC 118NJ is an LLDPE produced by SABIC, with good melt flow index and puncture resistance.

Physical Properties

  • Density: The density is 0.918 g/cc (0.0332 lb/in³), and it is measured according to ASTM D1505.
  • Melt Flow: The melt flow is 1.0 g/10 min at a load of 2.16 kg and a temperature of 190 °C (equivalent to 1.0 g/10 min at a load of 4.76 lb and a temperature of 374 °F), and it is measured according to ASTM D1238.

Polymer Properties:

  1. Base Material: Linear Low – Density Polyethylene (LLDPE)
  2. Modification Features:
    • Good melt flow index, enabling easy processing in different manufacturing processes.
    • Good resistance to puncture, which is beneficial for packaging applications.
    • Good optical properties for applications where a certain level of clarity is required.
    • Good compatibility with colorants for aesthetic applications.

Applications:

A SABIC 118NJ LLDPE resin would be a go-to choice for film applications where strength and durability are paramount.
  • Heavy-Duty Shipping Sacks & Liners: The resin’s high tensile and puncture resistance make it an excellent choice for manufacturing strong bags and sacks for shipping industrial goods and for heavy-duty container liners.
  • Ice and Frozen Food Bags: Its toughness and ability to perform well at low temperatures make it a perfect material for bags that need to withstand the rigors of freezing and handling.
  • Garbage Bags & Trash Liners: The outstanding tear and puncture resistance of the material are well-suited for producing durable trash bags and liners that can hold various types of waste without failing.
  • Lamination and Coextruded Films: The lack of slip and anti-block additives makes this resin an ideal layer in multi-layer films.
  • Agricultural Films: The durability and resistance to tearing make it a suitable material for certain agricultural films, such as protective covers or liners.
  • Shrink Film: This resin can be used to produce shrink films, especially when blended with LDPE to achieve specific performance characteristics.
  • High Clarity Films: When blended with 10-20% LDPE, it can be used to produce films with enhanced clarity and aesthetic appeal.
