SABIC 118WJ HOT Sale LLDPE Resin

SABIC 118WJ is a butene-based Linear Low-Density Polyethylene (LLDPE) resin that is specifically formulated for blown film extrusion.

Physical Properties

  • Density: The density is 0.918 g/cc (0.0332 lb/in³), as the base resin, and it is measured according to ASTM D1505.
  • Melt Flow: The melt flow is 1.0 g/10 min at a load of 2.16 kg and a temperature of 190°C (equivalent to 1.0 g/10 min at a load of 4.76 lb and a temperature of 374°F), and it is measured according to ASTM D1238.

Polymer Properties:

  1. Base Material: Linear Low – Density Polyethylene (LLDPE)
  2. Modification Features:
    • High – impact strength, making it suitable for applications where shock resistance is crucial.
    • Good weatherability, ensuring it can be used outdoors without significant degradation.
    • Good electrical insulation properties, useful for some electronics – related applications.
    • Good processability for film and sheet extrusion.

Applications:

SABIC 118WJ is primarily used in film applications where its blend of mechanical properties and processing additives is highly beneficial.

  • Shipping Sacks & Heavy-Duty Packaging: The resin’s high tensile strength and puncture resistance make it ideal for manufacturing robust sacks for shipping and heavy-duty industrial packaging.
  • Ice and Frozen Food Bags: Its toughness and good performance at low temperatures make it a perfect material for bags that need to withstand the conditions of freezing and handling.
  • Trash Bags & Garbage Bags: The excellent puncture and tear resistance of the resin is well-suited for producing durable trash bags that can handle various types of waste.
  • Lamination and Coextruded Films: SABIC 118WJ is often used as a layer in multi-layer films, where it contributes toughness and good sealing properties.
  • Agricultural Films: The durability and resistance to tearing make it suitable for certain agricultural applications, such as liners or protective films.
  • General Consumer Packaging: It is a go-to choice for a wide range of everyday consumer packaging, including carrier bags and produce bags, where a combination of strength and processability is needed.
  • Shrink Film: When blended with LDPE, this resin can be used to produce shrink films.
