SECCO 123P Hot Sale GPPS Resin

SECCO 123P is a grade of General Purpose Polystyrene (GPPS), also known as crystal polystyrene.

Physical Properties

  • Density: As per ISO 1183, the material’s density is 1040 kg/m³, representing its mass per unit volume in standard metric units.
  • Shrinkage: Tested via GB/T 17037, shrinkage ranges from 0.3–0.4%, indicating minor dimensional change during processing or cooling.
  • Water Absorption: Under ISO 62, water absorption is 0.1%, showing low moisture uptake suitable for applications requiring resistance to humidity.
  • Melt Index (200°C, 5 kg): GB/T 3682 specifies a melt index of 8 g/10min, reflecting the material’s flowability when heated to 200°C under a 5 kg load.

  • Consumer Goods: The material is a staple for daily necessities, stationery, and various household items. Its clear and glossy finish is well-suited for decorative items and beads.
  • Toys and Lighting: Its transparency and ability to be molded into complex shapes make it a popular choice for toys, lamps, and other lighting fixtures.
  • Medical and Laboratory: The material’s low toxicity and ability to be molded with high precision make it suitable for a number of medical and lab-related applications, including medical vessels and petri dishes.
  • Co-extruded Sheets: It is frequently used as a gloss top layer in co-extrusion with High Impact Polystyrene (HIPS) sheets.
