Processing Guidelines
Designed for ease of processing on conventional cast film extrusion lines. For optimal results:
-
Melt Temperature: 250 °C to 300 °C. Higher temperatures can reduce melt fracture.
-
Chill Roll Temperature: 20 °C. Rapid quenching is key for excellent optical properties.
Advanced: Blending with LDPE
For enhanced processability, 318BJ can be blended with small amounts (5-20%) of LDPE. This synergistic blend improves melt stability and can increase output rates by introducing strain-hardening behavior, creating a more stable melt curtain.
Note: Blending may involve a trade-off in the film's ultimate mechanical properties. Optimization is key.
