Applications:
Marlex® 5613 is known for its excellent processability and the balanced properties it imparts to finished products. It is particularly well-suited for:
- Injection Molded Parts: This is the primary application for Marlex® 5613. The resin’s high melt flow rate allows for easy filling of complex molds, making it ideal for high-speed production of intricate parts.
- Lids and Caps: The combination of stiffness and good clarity is perfect for caps on bottles for food, cosmetics, and household products.
- Consumer Goods: It’s used for various rigid and semi-rigid items such as containers, closures, and small household articles.
- Medical and Laboratory Wares: Its clarity and stiffness make it a good choice for applications like Petri dishes, specimen cups, and other lab equipment.
- Extruded Products: While primarily used in injection molding, it can also be extruded for specific applications.
- Masterbatch and Compounding: Its high melt index and consistent properties make it an excellent base resin for color and additive masterbatches.
- Profile Extrusion: It can be used for extruding profiles that require a balance of rigidity and some flexibility.
