• Viscosity Measurement: Using the CD Internal Viscotek Method, the relative viscosity of the sample is determined to be 3.3, reflecting its flow characteristics.
• Melt Flow: Tested per ASTM D1238 at 210 °C (410 °F) with a 2.16 kg (4.76 lb) load, the melt flow rate is 10 g/10 min, indicating processability under these conditions.

Processing Guidelines

NatureWorks 6060D is a versatile grade that can be processed on a variety of conventional equipment. Proper drying is crucial to prevent hydrolysis and ensure optimal product quality.

• Recommended Processing Temperature: 170°C – 200°C
• Drying: The resin should be dried to a moisture content of <250 ppm before processing. Recommended drying conditions are 4 hours at 40°C.
