Celanese Zytel 80G33HS1L PA66 Resin
Celanese Zytel 80G33HS1L PA66 is a 33% glass fiber reinforced, heat-stabilized polyamide 66 (Nylon 66) resin known for its outstanding impact resistance.
Physical Properties
- Density: Measured using injection-molded samples in accordance with DAM and ISO 1183, the density is 1.33 g/cc (0.0480 lb/in³).
- Melt Density: At a temperature of 295 °C (563 °F), the melt density is 1.12 g/cc (0.0405 lb/in³).
- Water Absorption: After 24h immersion (DAM, sim. ISO 62), water absorption is 0.85%; at 2.00 mm thickness (same standards), it’s 4.5%.
- Moisture Absorption: At 2.00 mm (0.0787 in) thickness, moisture absorption is 1.50% (DAM; sim. to ISO 62).
- Viscosity Number: Determined with 96% sulfuric acid per ISO 307, 1157, 1628, the viscosity number is 144 cm³/g (1.44 dl/g).
- Linear Mold Shrinkage: Per DAM/ISO 294-4/2577, injection-molded plaques have 0.0030 cm/cm (flow) and 0.0070 cm/cm (transverse) linear mold shrinkage.
