BASF ULTRAMID A3EG6 is a 30% short glass fiber reinforced polyamide 66 (PA66) polymer produced by BASF (BASF SE).
Physical Properties
- Density: As per the ISO 1183 standard, the density of the material is 1.36 g/cc in the metric system and 0.0491 lb/in³ in the English system.
- Water Absorption: Based on the ISO 62 standard, the water absorption rate of the material is in the range of 5.2 – 5.8 %, applicable for both metric and English units.
- Moisture Absorption at Equilibrium: At a condition of 23°C and 50% relative humidity (R.H.), following the ISO 62 standard, the moisture absorption at equilibrium is between 1.5 – 1.9 % for both measurement systems.
- Viscosity Number: The viscosity number of the material is 145 cm³/g in the metric unit, which is equivalent to 1.45 dl/g.
- Linear Mold Shrinkage: The linear mold shrinkage is 0.0055 cm/cm in the metric system and 0.0055 in/in in the English system.
- Melt Flow: According to the ISO 1133 standard, under a load of 5.00 kg (11.0 lb) and at a temperature of 275 °C (527 °F), the melt flow rate of the material is 54.4 g/10 min for both metric and English descriptions of this property.
