BASF ULTRAMID A3WG6 PA66 is a polyamide 66 (PA66) thermoplastic that is reinforced with 30% glass fiber.
Physical Properties
- Density: The density value of 1.36 g/cc (0.0491 lb/in³) is obtained by measurement in accordance with ISO 1183.
- Water Absorption: Based on ISO 62 standard, the water absorption of this material ranges from 5.2 – 5.8%.
- Moisture Absorption at Equilibrium: At 23°C and 50% relative humidity (R.H.), as per ISO 62, it is 1.5 – 1.9%.
- Viscosity Number: Measured following ISO 307, the viscosity number is determined to be 145 cm³/g (1.45 dl/g).
- Linear Mold Shrinkage: The linear mold shrinkage is measured to be 0.0055 cm/cm (0.0055 in/in).
- Melt Flow: In compliance with ISO 1133, at 275 °C (527 °F) under a 5.00 kg (11.0 lb) load, the melt flow is 54.4 g/10 min.
