BASF ULTRAMID A3X2G10 PA66 Resin

BASF Ultramid A3X2G10 is a 50% glass fiber-reinforced PA66 with red phosphorus flame retardance, designed for extreme-load industrial and electrical systems.

Physical Properties

  • Density: The highest in the series at 1.60 g/cc (0.0578 lb/in³) per ISO 1183, driven by the maximum glass fiber content for extreme mechanical performance.
  • Moisture Absorption at Equilibrium:At 0.70–1.1% (ISO 62), minimal polymer matrix ensures low moisture uptake for sensitive applications.
  • Saturation Water Absorption: Tested at 3.7–4.3% per ISO 62, the high fiber loading minimizes swelling, enhancing suitability for harsh environments.
  • Viscosity Measurement: Retaining 140 (ISO 307), the material stays processable with extreme reinforcement for industrial components.
  • Linear Mold Shrinkage: At 0.0040 cm/cm (0.0040 in/in), ensures high-precision manufacturing for critical connectors and structural parts.
  • Melt Flow: At 40 g/10 min per ISO 1133, the reduced flow rate is offset by superior stiffness and low warpage, making it ideal for heavy-duty applications.
