Idemitsu Kosan TARFLON AC1050 Hot Sale PC Resin

Idemitsu Kosan TARFLON AC1050 is a polycarbonate (PC) polymer produced by Idemitsu Kosan.

Physical Properties

  • Density: Determined by ISO 1183 (JIS K7112), density is 1.22 g/cc (0.0441 lb/in³), providing a standardized measure of mass per unit volume.
  • Linear Mold Shrinkage: For 2.00 mm thickness via Idemitsu Method, flow/transverse shrinkage ranges 0.0050–0.0070 cm/cm (in/in), critical for dimensional control and part design tolerance in molding.
  • Melt Flow: Per ISO 1133 (JIS K7210), melt flow rate is 31.72 g/10 min at 280°C (536°F) under 2.16 kg (4.76 lb) load, indicating good processability for extrusion/molding.
  • Spiral Flow: At 2.00 mm (0.0787 in) thickness via Idemitsu Method, spiral flow length is 28.0 cm (11.0 in) under 125 MPa pressure, reflecting melt fluidity in mold filling.

Polymer Properties:

  • Base Material: Polycarbonate (PC)
  • Modification Features:
    • High impact resistance, safeguarding against accidental impacts.
    • Good transparency, offering clear optical performance.
    • Excellent heat resistance, maintaining integrity in elevated temperatures.
    • Superb precision in molding, enabling intricate designs.
    • Good electrical properties, suitable for electrical applications.

Applications:

  1. Printer and Copy Machine Parts: Used for internal housings and structural components where heat from motors and lasers can accumulate.
  2. Liquid Crystal Projector Parts: Ideal for lens covers and frames due to high transparency and dimensional precision , ensuring clear image projection without distortion.
  3. Modular Plugs and Connectors: Employed in telecommunications for plug housings, leveraging excellent electrical properties to prevent tracking and arcing.
  4. Lamp Covers and LED Lamps: Suitable for lighting fixtures, where high gloss and transparency facilitate efficient light diffusion.
  5. Battery Cases: Applied in portable electronics and EV batteries for enclosures, benefiting from impact resistance and flame retardancy to contain potential thermal runaways.
  6. TV Housing: Used for back panels and frames in consumer electronics, combining aesthetic gloss with mechanical robustness for slim designs.
