Radici Radiflam ARV300 AF 830 BR PA66 Resin
Radiflam® ARV300 AF 830 BR is a high-performance polyamide 66 (PA66) flame-retardant injection molding grade reinforced with 25% glass fiber.
Physical Properties
- Density: Tested via ISO 1183 on injection-molded samples, the density is found to be 1.43 g/cc (0.0517 lb/in³).
- Water Absorption: At 23°C immersion (ISO 62), 2.00 mm thick components exhibit a water absorption rate of 5.4%.
- Moisture Absorption: Under 50% relative humidity (ISO 62), 2.00 mm specimens absorb 1.30% moisture by weight.
- Linear Mold Shrinkage (Flow): At melt temp/mold temp/cavity pressure 280/80/60 (ISO 294-4), flow-direction shrinkage is 0.0040 cm/cm.
- Linear Mold Shrinkage (Transverse): Transverse shrinkage under the same conditions (ISO 294-4) is measured at 0.010 cm/cm (0.010 in/in).

Applications:
- Radiflam ARV300 AF 830 BR is tailored for applications where fire safety, mechanical strength, and durability are paramount. Its key applications include:
- Domestic Appliances:
- Use Case: Housings and internal components for appliances such as washing machines, dryers, and ovens.
- Rationale: The V-0 UL-94 rating and improved GWIT ensure compliance with fire safety standards, while the 30% glass fiber reinforcement provides the stiffness needed for durable, load-bearing parts. For example, appliance housings benefit from the resin’s ability to withstand mechanical stress and resist ignition in case of electrical faults.
- Electrical and Electronic Components:
- Use Case: Connectors, terminal blocks, and circuit breaker housings.
- Rationale: The resin’s excellent electrical insulation properties, combined with its flame-retardant characteristics, make it suitable for components exposed to high voltages or potential fire hazards. The material’s high stiffness ensures dimensional stability in precision-molded parts like connectors.
- Automotive Parts:
- Use Case: Under-the-hood components and electrical connectors in automotive systems.
- Rationale: The resin’s thermal stability and mechanical strength make it suitable for parts exposed to elevated temperatures and mechanical stress. Its flame-retardant properties are critical for safety in automotive electrical systems.
- Industrial and Construction Safety Parts:
- Use Case: Structural components in industrial equipment and construction applications requiring fire resistance.
- Rationale: The combination of high stiffness, mechanical resistance, and flame retardancy makes this resin ideal for safety-critical parts in harsh environments, such as industrial machinery housings or fire-resistant structural elements.
