CELANESE HOSTAFORM C 9021 AW Modified POM Resin

Celanese HOSTAFORM C 9021 AW is a POM copolymer with special – additive – enhanced properties produced by Celanese.

Physical Properties

  • Density: Measured per ISO 1183, the material’s density is 1.38 g/cc (0.0499 lb/in³), specifying its mass per unit volume for characterization.
  • Water Absorption at Saturation: As per ISO 62, the material retains 0.65% water at saturation, indicating low moisture uptake when fully immersed.
  • Linear Mold Shrinkage, Flow: By ISO 294-4, flow-direction shrinkage is 0.021 cm/cm (0.021 in/in), critical for dimensional accuracy in injection molding.
  • Linear Mold Shrinkage, Transverse: Per ISO 294-4, transverse shrinkage is 0.019 cm/cm (0.019 in/in), highlighting directional variation in component contraction.
  • Melt Flow: Under ISO 1133 at 190°C/2.16 kg, the melt flow rate is 8.0 g/10 min [cm³/10min], showing suitability for injection molding processes.
