CELANESE HOSTAFORM C 9021 GV3/10 Modified POM Resin

Hostaform C 9021 GV3/10 is a polyoxymethylene (POM) copolymer grade from Celanese, reinforced with approximately 10% glass spheres.

  • Density: Measured per ISO 1183, the material’s density is 1.47 g/cc (0.0531 lb/in³), defining its mass-to-volume ratio for basic characterization.
  • Density of Compound: The compound density, unspecified for standard, is 1.25 g/cc (0.0452 lb/in³), applicable to component-specific material evaluations.
  • Water Absorption at Saturation: As per ISO 62, the material retains 0.80% water at saturation, indicating maximum moisture uptake under fully immersed conditions.
  • Melt Flow: Under ISO 1133 at 190°C (374°F) with a 2.16 kg (4.76 lb) load, the melt flow rate is 9.0 g/10 min [cm³/10min], signaling suitability for injection molding processes.
