- Base Material: Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene (ABS)
- Modification Features
- Flame retardancy rated HB for enhanced fire safety.
- High heat – resistant.
- Shows medium impact, good tensile, and decent elongation.
- High – gloss surface, appealing for appearance – critical products.
- Pellet – form, good for injection and extrusion molding.
Applications:
Due to its high-heat resistance and good mechanical properties, D-2400 is commonly used in applications that require durability and thermal stability.
Its primary uses are in the automotive, electronics, and home appliance sectors.
- Automotive Parts:
- D-2400 is well-suited for internal automotive components that are exposed to sunlight or heat from the engine.
- Examples include dashboards, interior trim, and other parts of the cabin where standard ABS might warp or deform.
- Home Appliances:
- This material is frequently used for appliance housings and internal components that generate heat, such as those found in rice cookers, microwave ovens, or coffee makers.
- Its thermal stability ensures the product’s long-term integrity and safety.
- 3C Products (Computers, Communications, and Consumer Electronics):
- In the 3C industry, D-2400 is used for the housings of electronic devices like monitors, routers, or other equipment that produce heat during operation.
- The high-heat resistance prevents the casing from deforming and protects internal components.
