LG Chem ER460 ABS Resin
LG Chemical ER460 is an acrylonitrile – butadiene – styrene (ABS) polymer produced by LG Chemical.
Physical Properties
- Specific Gravity: Measured per ASTM D792, the specific gravity is 1.05 g/cc (1.05 g/cc), indicating the material’s density relative to water.
- Maximum Moisture Content: For injection molding, the maximum moisture content is 0.010 (unitless) to ensure compatibility with manufacturing processes.
- Linear Mold Shrinkage, Flow: As per ASTM D955 at 3.20 mm (0.126 in) thickness, linear shrinkage in the flow direction ranges from 0.0040–0.0070 cm/cm (0.0040–0.0070 in/in).
- Melt Flow: Following ASTM D1238, the melt flow rate is 23 g/10 min under a 10.0 kg (22.0 lb) load at 220 °C (428 °F), reflecting processability during molding.
