Sabic CYCOLAC EXABS01 ABS Resin

SABIC CYCOLAC™  EXABS01 is an acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene (ABS) resin designed for sheet extrusion with medium impact resistance.

Physical Properties

  • Specific Gravity: ASTM D792 sets 1.03 g/cc, a medium-impact ABS for sheet extrusion, suitable for less demanding interior or exterior applications.
  • Viscosity: At a shear rate of 100 1/s and 240°C (464°F), melt viscosity is 1.40e+6 cP (ASTM D3825), ensuring stable flow in extrusion processes.
  • Linear Mold Shrinkage, Flow:SABIC method for 3.20 mm thickness shows 0.0060–0.0080 cm/cm shrinkage, ensuring sheet dimensional consistency.
  • Melt Flow: Per ISO 1133, melt flow rate is 4.0 g/10 min at 220°C under 10 kg load for efficient extruded component production.

Polymer Properties:

  • Base Material: Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene (ABS)
  • Modification Features:
    • Medium impact resistance suitable for cost-effective sheet extrusion projects.
    • Smooth surface finish for thermoformed or vacuum-formed applications.
