Borealis Borstar FB1350 Hot Sale HDPE Resin
Borealis Borstar FB1350 is a high-density polyethylene (HDPE) grade produced using the proprietary Borstar bimodal technology.
Physical Properties
- Density: As per ISO 1183, the material density is 0.935 g/cc (0.0338 lb/in³), representing its mass-to-volume ratio under standardized conditions.
- Melt Flow: Per ISO 1133, melt flow rates at 190°C are 0.70 g/10min (5kg load) and 15 g/10min (21.6kg load), showing moderate to high flow.
Polymer Properties:
- Base Material: high-density polyethylene (HDPE)
- Modification Features
- Contains antioxidant, ensuring long – term stability and resistance to degradation.
- Offers excellent extrusion properties, facilitating efficient manufacturing processes like mono – and coextrusion.
- Exhibits high film stiffness, providing structural integrity for film – based applications.
- Has good processability on conventional extruders, allowing for easy production and shaping.
- Maintains toughness at low temperatures, suitable for applications in cold environments.
Applications:
The high stiffness, excellent barrier properties, and strong processability of Borstar FB1350 make it a preferred material for demanding film applications where superior performance is required. Its primary applications are in:
- Packaging Films: It is widely used for bags, liners, and pouches that require high strength and puncture resistance, such as for food, industrial chemicals, and consumer goods.
- Lamination Films: The material’s stiffness and consistent properties make it an ideal base layer for laminated films, where it provides structural integrity for multi-layer packaging.
- Corrugated Sheets: FB1350’s high stiffness and toughness are also leveraged in the production of corrugated sheets and lightweight panels for packaging and temporary structural applications.
- Industrial Liners: The material’s durability and chemical resistance make it a good choice for industrial drum liners and chemical resistant films.
