Covestro Bayblend FR3000 is a flame-retardant blend of polycarbonate (PC) and acrylonitrile butadiene styrene (ABS) with a balanced property profile.
Physical Properties
- Density:Measured per ISO 1183 – 1, it’s crucial for weight – related applications, with a value of 1.18 g/cc (0.0426 lb/in³).
- Moisture Absorption at Equilibrium:Based on ISO 62 at 50% RH, shows 0.20 % absorption, key for humid – environment performance.
- Water Absorption at Saturation:As per ISO 62, 0.50 % saturation absorption, important for water – exposed uses.
- Viscosity:According to ISO 11443 – A, 160000 cP at specified shear rate and temp, affects processing flow.
- Linear Mold Shrinkage, Flow:For 150x105x3mm plaques (ISO 2577), 0.0050 – 0.0070 cm/cm in flow direction, for dimension control.
- Linear Mold Shrinkage, Transverse:Under ISO 2577, 0.0050 – 0.0070 cm/cm transverse, ensures cross – sectional dimension accuracy.
