Borealis FT5230 Hot Sale LDPE Resin
Borealis FT5230 is a low-density polyethylene (LDPE) resin specifically designed for high-speed extrusion coating applications.
Physical Properties
- Density: Measured using the ISO 1183 standard, the density is 0.923 g/cc (0.0333 lb/in³).
- Melt Flow: As per ISO 1133 standards, at a load of 2.16 kg (4.76 lb) and a temperature of 190 °C (374 °F), the melt flow rate is 0.75 g/10 min.
Polymer Properties:
- Base Material: Low Density Polyethylene (LDPE)
- Modification Features
- High Transparency and Gloss: Specially formulated to produce a high clarity film, ideal for packaging where product visibility is important.
- Good Mechanical Properties: Despite its high flow, the grade provides a good balance of mechanical strength.
- Strong Adhesion: FT5230 provides strong adhesion to common substrates such as paper, cardboard, aluminum foil, and other films.
Applications:
- Food Packaging: The high clarity and gloss of the film make FT5230 a popular choice for food packaging, including bread bags, fresh produce wraps, and other consumer goods where a premium appearance is desired.
- Shrink and Stretch Films: The balanced mechanical properties and processability are well-suited for producing shrink and stretch films.
- Lamination Films: Due to its excellent optical and mechanical properties, it is also used for lamination films, where it serves as a robust and clear layer in multi-layer structures for various packaging applications.
