INEOS Styrolution GP-35 Hot Sale ABS Resin

INEOS Styrolution GP-35 is a high-flow, general-purpose acrylonitrile butadiene styrene (ABS) grade designed for injection molding applications.

Physical Properties

  • Density: Measured in accordance with ISO 1183 standard, the density is 1.04 g/cc (0.0376 lb/in³).
  • Moisture Absorption at Equilibrium: At 23.0 °C (73.4 °F) with 50% relative humidity, as per ISO 62 standard, the moisture absorption at equilibrium is 0.24 %.
  • Water Absorption at Saturation: At 23.0 °C (73.4 °F), following ISO 62 standard, the water absorption at saturation is 0.95 %.
  • Linear Mold Shrinkage: According to ISO 294 – 4 standard, the linear mold shrinkage ranges from 0.0040 – 0.0070 cm/cm (0.0040 – 0.0070 in/in).
  • Melt Flow: Under a load of 10.0 kg (22.0 lb) at 220 °C (428 °F), in line with ISO 1133 standard (volumetric, cm³/10 min), the melt flow is 34 g/10 min.

  • Toys and Recreational Goods:Suitable for making toys and sports equipment parts because of its colorability and impact strength.
  • Packaging:Applied in injection – molded packaging components where high – quality surface finish and flowability are required for complex shapes.

Processing Guidelines

  • Injection Molding: Terluran® GP-35 is compatible with standard injection molding machines. Its wide processing range, low mold shrinkage, and minimal warpage facilitate ease of processing. High injection rates and elevated mold temperatures enhance surface gloss. Any standard gate type can be used.
  • Predrying: ABS can absorb moisture under unfavorable storage conditions, potentially causing surface defects. Predrying to a residual moisture content of <0.1% is recommended, typically achieved by drying at 80°C for 2–4 hours using dry air, vacuum, or circulating driers.
  • Surface Treatments: The material supports printing, flocking, embossing, painting, and vacuum metallization. Care must be taken to select appropriate solvents to avoid stress cracking during painting. Laser marking, particularly with Nd:YAG lasers, offers high flexibility, speed, and wear resistance without pretreatment.
  • Recycling: Regrind from Terluran® GP-35 can be reused if free from contamination or thermal degradation. Predrying is necessary due to higher moisture absorption in regrind. Virgin granules are recommended for high-quality applications.

  • Terluran® ECO GP-35 is a variant with 60% bio-attributed content, offering high gloss, dimensional stability, and impact strength while reducing the product’s carbon footprint through the use of renewable feedstocks.
  • It is ISCC-certified and suitable for similar applications as the standard grade, including electronics, household, toys, construction, and sanitary applications.
