FORMOSA TAIRIREX GP560N Hot Sale GPPS Resin
Formosa TAIRIREX GP560N is a general – purpose polystyrene (GPPS) grade with high molecular weight and low monomer residue, produced by Formosa Plastics Corporation.
Physical Properties
- Density (23°C): Both ASTM D792 and ISO 1183 confirm a density of 1.04 g/cm³, showing consistent mass-to-volume ratio at standard temperature.
- Shrinkage (3.2mm): Per ASTM D955, shrinkage ranges 0.4–0.7% for 3.2mm-thick samples, indicating dimensional change during processing.
- Melt Index (200°C, 5 kg): ASTM D1238 and ISO 1133 both report 1.9 g/10min, demonstrating uniform flowability measurements across standards.
- Monomer Content: Monomer content is 500 ppm, indicating lower residual unreacted monomer suitable for safety-sensitive applications.
Polymer Properties:
- Base Material: General Purpose Polystyrene (GPPS)
- Modification Features:
- General – purpose grade for wide – ranging applications.
- High molecular weight for improved strength and durability.
- Low monomer residue for safety and quality assurance.
Applications:
- TV and Illumination Diffusion Plates
- This grade is a primary choice for lighting and electronics. Its excellent light transmission and diffusion properties make it ideal for TV and illumination diffusion plates.
- Light Guide Plates (LGP)
- Due to its superior optical properties and dimensional stability, GP560N is an excellent material for light guide plates.
- Extruded Sheets for Packaging and Displays
- The resin’s high molecular weight and excellent flow properties make it highly suitable for extrusion.
- This process is used to create clear, rigid sheets that are then thermoformed into various packaging, such as blister packs and display cases.
