SABIC HP4024N LDPE Resin
SABIC® HP4024N is a low-density polyethylene (LDPE) homopolymer resin engineered specifically for blown film extrusion.
Physical Properties
- Density: Measured at 0.923 g/cc (0.0333 lb/in³) via ASTM D1505, this additive-free grade emphasizes clarity and mechanical balance.
- Melt Flow: With a rate of 4.0 g/10 min under ASTM D1238 conditions, it offers efficient processing for films requiring no slip/antiblock agents.
Polymer Properties:
- Base Material: Low-Density Polyethylene (LDPE)
- Key Features:
- Has neutral color with balanced transparency level.
- Provides good oxygen – barrier for product preservation.
- Maintains stable performance in different humidities.
Applications:
The high processability and balanced properties of SABIC® HP4024N make it an ideal material for a range of demanding film applications, particularly those requiring high output and thin gauges.
- General Purpose Bags: Used for producing a variety of bags, including consumer bags, bread bags, fresh produce bags, and other general-purpose packaging.
- Thin-Gauge Films: The high MFR is specifically suited for thin-film applications, such as retail and food packaging films where material reduction is a key benefit.
- Food and Textile Packaging: Its balanced strength and optical properties are well-suited for films used in both food packaging and textile wrapping, offering product protection and visibility.
- Co-extrusion Films: The consistent processability and film properties make it a suitable component in multi-layer co-extrusion films where layers with different properties are required.
