SABIC LEXAN LS1 PC Resin
SABIC LEXAN™ LS1 PC is a high-purity, low-viscosity polycarbonate resin specifically developed for optical applications that require exceptional clarity and flowability.
Physical Properties
- Specific Gravity: Measured per ASTM D792, the material’s specific gravity is 1.20 g/cc, indicating its density relative to water.
- Water Absorption: After 24 hours per ASTM D570, the material absorbs 0.15%, showing low moisture uptake in short-term conditions.
- Linear Mold Shrinkage, Flow: Using the SABIC method for 3.20 mm (0.126 in) thickness, flow-direction shrinkage ranges from 0.0050–0.0070 cm/cm (0.0050–0.0070 in/in).
- Melt Flow: According to ASTM D1238, at 300 °C (572 °F) under a 1.20 kg (2.65 lb) load, the melt flow rate is 17.5 g/10 min.
