BASF Ultraform N2640 Z2 POM Resin
BASF Ultraform N2640 Z2 POM + PUR is an elastomer – modified injection molding grade with high impact strength for stress – resistant components.
Physical Properties
- Bulk Density: Ranging from 0.650–0.850 g/cc (0.0235–0.0307 lb/in³), the material’s bulk density indicates variability suitable for diverse processing needs.
- Density: As per ISO 1183, the density is 1.37 g/cc (0.0495 lb/in³), reflecting a dense composition for rigid or heavy-duty applications.
- Water Absorption: At 0.80% per ISO 62, the material absorbs moderate moisture, requiring consideration for use in humid environments.
- Moisture Absorption at Equilibrium: Per ISO 62, equilibrium moisture absorption is 0.20%, showing lower long-term humidity retention compared to short-term water uptake.
- Linear Mold Shrinkage, Flow: With 0.019 cm/cm (0.019 in/in) per ISO 2577, flow-direction shrinkage is consistent for predictable part dimensions in molding.
- Linear Mold Shrinkage, Transverse: Transverse shrinkage matches the flow direction at 0.019 cm/cm (0.019 in/in, ISO 2577), indicating uniform dimensional stability.
- Melt Flow: Under ISO 1133, the flow rate is 9.59 g/10 min at 190 °C (374 °F) with a 2.16 kg (4.76 lb) load, suitable for moderate-flow extrusion or molding processes.
